After an accident that leaves her sister in a bestselling author in a coma with a gruesome skin malady, our protagonist, her sister, rushes to her bedside. Although the sisters weren't close, she is determined to do what she can for her sister. While staying in her apartment, she stumbles upon an unfinished manuscript with a deadline fast approaching. As an indie writer herself, and determined to help her sister, she offers to finish the piece to meet the deadline. However, the more she reads the manuscript, the more unsettling she finds it. When it starts to hit close to home, she becomes increasingly paranoid. The fear only increases as she swears she hears someone typing when she's not in the room and she sees the word mysteriously count creeping higher. She's determined not to be scared off, knowing this might be her own shot at bigger success with her  writing, but when her  own skin begins to rash and her thoughts begin to poison, she can't help but wonder if she faces the same fate as her sister...
