Damage Criteria

All books are reviewed prior to shipment for visible damage. However, if your book is damaged in transit, we will replace the book. You must provide clear pictures of the damage. Please note, we may supply a return label to ship back the damaged book and will not ship a replacement until the original is returned.

Qualifies for damage:

-A tear, rip, cut, or scratch on the dust jacket that is visible on the front and spine of the book that exceeds 1cm.
-Water damage
-Dented and crushed corners that are bigger than 1.5cm
-A book that is not signed but is supposed to be
-More than 1 bent or torn pages that exceed 2cm or impacts text on page
-Production damage such as mis-aligned spine, flaps, or missing foiling, or missing or damaged metal corners/ribbon bookmarks/endpage illustration when applicable.
-Bound upside down

Does not qualify for damage:

-Light scratches
-Small bumps and dents that are smaller than 1.5cm
-Dents on hardcover that are near the crease by the spine
-Wavy pages
-Creases  on top and bottom of the book spine or dust jacket
-Slightly pixelated or blurry printed edge
-Uneven printed edges
-Page bleeding
-Minor interior defects
-Shelf wear or wear from reading
-Slightly faded foiling
-Loose dust jackets
-Minor scuffing
-Dented or scuffed slip cases

Please note- Due to differences in publisher requirements, printer techniques, and art types with various finishes, some books may have variations that do not count as damage. This includes but isn't limited to:
-Foiling, metallic, and gloss finishes being more prone to wear due to finger oils and lotions. Please handle hardcovers, especially, with care.
-Roller lines from manufacturing
-Reverse jacket foiling causing faint lines on alternate side
-Tip ins being slightly misaligned
-Edge color/pixel variation due to page movement and alignment

All damage requests must be made within 10 days of receipt.
We will not accept claims from those that purchase from a third party vendor.
